In 2023 alone, this district handled over 4,000 emergency calls—and it’s projected to hit nearly 5,000 calls annually in just a few years. Translation? Henderson plans ahead, and it invests in public safety before things get out of hand.
Fire Station 81 will sit on a 4.44-acre lot at 1600 S. Boulder Hwy, with over 24,000 square feet of firehouse muscle—three extra-long apparatus bays, a rescue unit, a 10,000 square foot supply warehouse, and enough room to house 12 firefighters and a Battalion Chief. It’s not just a station—it’s a fully equipped safety hub.
Oh, and it’s being built with smart reuse of a former Camping World site, designed by Leo A. Daly and built by The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company—$11.5 million worth of infrastructure built to serve a growing community.
Bottom line: Henderson isn’t playing around with your safety or your future.
